The Zoo says there is less than 1000 remaining in the wild.
A brand new species has arrived at Twycross Zoo.
The Ecuadorian Amazon parrots are the latest species to arrive at the zoo.
This species of bird is classed as critically endangered and so one of the rarest birds on the planet with less than 1000 remaining in the wild.
Twycross Zoo said on social media: " Twycross Zoo is part of an EAZA Ex-situ Programme to help protect the species and our three new males are important ambassadors for their wild counterparts.
"The species has faced a decline of 60% in the last 20 years due to human deforestation and the pet trade."
