After months of hard work the annual pantomime will soon be getting under way at The Civic Hall in Bedworth – oh yes it is!

Mother Goose opens on Saturday, December 2 at 7pm with more than 20 shows taking place at the High Street venue until Friday, December 29 with ticket demand proving high.

And there will also be a relaxed performance on Sunday, December 3 when sound and lighting levels are reduced, along with flashing lights and bangs and noises, with sales proving to be a success.

Tim Norton, General Manager at The Civic Hall in Bedworth, said: “The cast and our dancers are working really hard ….and they only got together for the first time this week!

“I believe we have a pantomime to be proud of and one which our patrons will enjoy, full of wonderful songs and dance routines, our stage crew have also done a tremendous job, and we have some excellent special effects which will leave audiences enthralled.’’

Mother Goose is performed by The Civic Hall Pantomime Company and the script is written by Ben Crocker.

Jourdan Amelia Storey plays the part of Freya, Steve Kray plays the title role, Joshua Lloyd plays the Baron, Scott Livingstone is Gonk, Eva Crawford is Smorg and Brandon Gale plays Sven.

Maria Morrison is Fairy Aurora and The Face of the Clock, Benjamin Powell plays The Grand High Snow Goose and The Moose with Lydia Kate Norton featuring as Heidi the Goose.

Simon Farndon, the venue’s technical manager and the pantomime’s Stage Manager, said: “A pantomime of this size involves a great deal of technical expertise.

“Myself and our stage crew have been working on this production since the start of the year, ensuring that major issues such as making sure the set is in the right place at the right time are carried out smoothly.

“Pantomime is a real team effort, and I am proud to say that everyone is pulling together at The Civic Hall to make sure we have a first class show on Saturday December 2.’’
