A cyclist has died following a collision in Leicester Road, Sapcote.
Police were called to the collision at 4.55pm on Wednesday 27th May on the B4669 Leicester Road near the junction with the B4114 Coventry Road.
Police have said the cyclist, a 17-year-old boy, was involved in the collision with a blue Mini Cooper car.
East Midlands Ambulance Service were also in attendance.
The teenage boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
The family of the boy have been informed and are being supported by officers.
No other injuries have been reported in the incident.
A road closure was in place in the area while officers carried out enquiries.
Officers are appealing for anyone with any information in relation to the incident to make contact.
Detective Constable John Borlase said: “We are continuing to establish the full circumstances of this collision and are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw either of the vehicles beforehand to make contact with us.
“If you have any dashcam footage from the area at the time, please also check this to see if it could assist with our enquiries.”
