The Diwali lights switch-on takes place today in Loughborough Town Centre.
The ceremony will begin at 6.30pm outside Loughborough Town Hall with the lights being switched on at 7pm.
Diwali is also called the "Festival of Lights."
It is a five-day religious festival celebrated by Hindus, Jains, and Sikhs.
