Officers are investigating after a fatal collision on the old A6 in Rothley yesterday evening (Wednesday 29 November).
The collision occurred around 8.10pm and involved one vehicle, a silver Honda Civic. The driver of the vehicle, a man, sustained serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Honda was travelling along the old A6, from Rothley towards Mountsorrel, when the vehicle left the road and collided with a tree just 150 metres south of Brooklea Nurseries.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or saw the vehicle being driven beforehand.
