A cordon was in place at the scene but this has since been lifted.
Police were called by East Midlands Ambulance Service at 4.23 pm last night (Thursday 30th June) to report a stabbing in Wood Street, Earl Shilton.
A man was assessed at the scene by the ambulance service for a minor puncture wound to his neck and its been confirmed that the injury is not life-threatening or life-changing.
A spokesperson from Leicestershire Police said: "Enquiries are ongoing into the incident."
A cordon was in place at the scene but this has now been lifted.
