Emergency services have closed the A447 this morning after a collision between a van and a car.

The road is currently closed between the Lount Road junction of Hinckley Road to Bosworth Road.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene at 07:57 after it was reported that a person was trapped in their vehicle.

Fire engines from Hinckley and Coalville are at the scene.

Fosse 107 has contacted Leicestershire Police for a statement.
