Police were called to the bank on Sunday evening.
Police enquiries continue after an incident at the Earl Shilton branch of Nationwide yesterday (Sunday 4 February) evening.
A Leicestershire Police Spokesperson said: "Shortly after 9 pm yesterday (Sunday 4 February) a report was received concerning a burglary at a bank in The Hollow, Earl Shilton.
"Officers attended but the suspects left the area in a vehicle, which was later found abandoned in Staffordshire.
"Nothing was taken from the premises and no arrests have been made. Enquiries into the incident are continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact police, quoting incident 641 of 4 February."
