Work is expected to be completed in time for Remembrance Day.

Urgent repairs are taking place at a Nuneaton cemetery after a water pipe burst over the weekend.

Severn Trent Water is currently repairing the pipe at Oaston Road Cemetery, and it's expected to be completed by the end of this week, in time for Remembrance Day.

The burst led to a significant amount of water around the cemetery over the weekend, but this has now dispersed.

The driveway has been dug up to allow the repairs to be carried out and no damage has been caused to graves.

Cllr Brady Hughes, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Health said: “We are aware there has been a burst water main at the cemetery.

“Severn Trent has rapidly responded and is dealing with the fracture, as well as clearing excess water and any disruption is expected to be minimal.

“Please bear with us at this time. Further investigation may have to be carried out for prevention measures.’’
