"Both competitions really help to create some positive cheer in the run-up to Christmas."
There are two competitions starting in Coalville to encourage shoppers to come into the town in the run-up to the festive period.
North West Leicestershire District Council’s (NWLDC) annual Best Dressed Window competition is returning and shops decorating their windows have until Friday 18 November to sign up.
The Have you seen Santa competition is also starting up and businesses can opt to display a mini Santa within their shop for customers to find and win prizes.
Both competitions will start on Saturday 26 November and shoppers have until Sunday 18 December to take part.
Councillor Tony Gillard, Portfolio Holder for Business at NWLDC, said: “Each year we look forward to seeing the town centre decorated with festive displays.
“Both competitions really help to create some positive cheer in the run up to Christmas and give businesses a much-needed boost.
“It’s all light-hearted fun so let us know if you’ll be taking part and get ready to welcome shoppers eyeing up your Christmas windows whilst on the hunt for the mini Santas.”
To sign up, businesses can submit their interest by emailing cultural.services@nwleicestershire.gov.uk
