The first was a call reporting that he had witnessed a man being attacked by two dogs.

An officer attended; however, no victim was found, and no dogs were located.

Later, a victim, who had minor injuries, was identified.

A second call reported a dog had bitten a further three people in the same location.

In the interest of public and officer safety, firearms officers were deployed. A police dog and its handler also attended.

Two dogs were found. One was sedated to allow it to be safely removed from the scene. The other was removed without being sedated.

A 17-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dangerously out of control dog in a public place. She remains in police custody.

One person has been taken to hospital by East Midlands Ambulance Service and two people have sought treatment at a walk-in centre.
