An appeal is being to football fans who were at the match between Coalville Town and Tamworth on Saturday 30 September.
Witnesses are being asked by the police to come forward after a report from visiting fans that they were punched after the game in Owen Street.
Four men reported being punched in Owen Street shortly before 5pm. None of them suffered serious injuries.
PC Russ Leech, the investigating officer, said: “I’d like to speak to anyone who was at the match or was in Owen Street afterwards and saw what happened.
“I’m particularly keen to speak to anyone who might have filmed the incident on a mobile phone. Any details or footage you’re able to provide could help.”
