A STUNNED gran won £333,333 with after her No3-obsessed daughter predicted the winning amount.
Lorraine Cokien, 73, was left reeling days after her girl Zoe told her: “When you pull out the big one, it will be £333,333.”
Now widow Lorraine, of Broughton Astley, Leicestershire, is planning to buy a car, family vacations, decorate her new house – and possibly buy a holiday home abroad.
She said: “Oh my God! It’s just unreal…but it’s real. I never thought anything like this would happen to me.”
Retired Zoe, 52, said after spotting the numbers on the cheque: “I literally just said that. I feel a bit sick.
“I was joking, but I wasn’t joking and said it would be all the 3s. I said, when you pull out the big one it will be £333,333. Threes work for us, clearly.”
She added: “I’m a big believer in the power of three. Three is a good number. I chose my house because it’s 111, which adds up to three. I lived at number three in my old house.
“I do everything in threes. If I drop something, I have to drop two other things.”
Mum-of-two Lorraine shared £1m with two other neighbours in Broughton Astley after LE9 6RQ landed the lottery’s weekly Millionaire Street prize on Saturday 13 June.
Lorraine, holding a rose quartz crystal Zoe gave her for Mother’s Day, said:
“I’ll spoil the family. Definitely a new car, and I’d love a holiday. I’ll be arranging a holiday at some point. The girls want to go to New York at Christmas. I’d like somewhere nice and hot. I’ve been to the Maldives and I’d like to go back there again. I’ve not long moved into this house, so I’ll get some decorating done and make it mine. I’ll maybe buy somewhere abroad so we have our own place to go to. I now have the money there that I could buy a house."
Lorraine – who has three other grandchildren and four great grandchildren – revealed she forgot to change her address details with the lottery after moving home last year.
But she remembered a few weeks ago and switched her details – despite players being able to use any postcode.
The retired Next Directory and NHS worker said: “I moved to this address last October, but I didn’t change my details with the lottery right away. I suddenly thought I needed to change it and did it in March or April. Just as well!”
