High levels of traffic expected around East Midlands Airport this week

East Midlands Airport has issued advice to passengers.

Campsites for Download Festival, open today (11/06), so people are being told to be aware of higher than usual traffic levels around East Midlands Airport.

Music starts at the rock festival on Friday, 13th June and runs to Sunday, 15th June; however, camping is open from today.

If you are travelling to the airport between today and Monday, the advice is to make sure you allow plenty of time.

The airport has said: "Festival organisers have plans in place to keep traffic flowing, East Midlands Airport customers are advised to allow extra time for journeys to and from the airport if they are travelling when Download Festival is underway."
