Veterans, local dignitaries and members of the public gathered at the Triumph Motorcycle Experience in Hinckley this morning 17th October 2026 for a special event organised by the Hinckley and District Poppy Appeal.
The Hinckley and District Poppy Appeal held its remembrance event at the Triumph Motorcycle Experience on Normandy Way, Hinckley, this morning (Saturday 17 October).
Doors opened to the public at 9.30am, with military vehicles on display and representatives from the police and fire services in attendance, alongside veteran riders and bikers.
The event included a service and act of remembrance at 11am inside the museum, with invited guests including the Deputy Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire, local dignitaries and the town's MP.
The service featured representatives from St Mary's Church, including Reverend Ian Hill, and was supported by the Hinckley branch of the Royal British Legion.
A special tribute was made to those who died in conflict, as well as veterans who served their country and have sadly passed away in more recent years.
Photographs included in the dedication were submitted by local veterans, helping to make the service particularly personal to those attending.
