The council released images from CCTV which show an illegally ridden e-scooter nearly collide with a car on Lower Bond Street.
They said the vehicle had to brake suddenly and described e-scooters as 'illegal and dangerous'.
Although they are legal to own and can be bought from a number of shops, it is illegal to ride them on public land. This includes roads, pavements, parks, town centres or promenades.

A number of areas have been trialling the vehicles, which have become an increasingly common option for people looking to get around.
Leicestershire is not one of these trial areas.
