Work on a £70,000 improvement project at Sidings Park in Loughborough has been completed.
Charnwood Borough Council started the work at the open space off Burder Street earlier this year. Improvements include new play equipment, an extension to the path and a new entrance.
Cllr Jenny Bokor, the Council’s lead member for Loughborough said: “I’m pleased we were able to complete the work at Sidings Park in time for Easter so people were able to enjoy it over the bank holiday weekend.
“We’ve added a couple of extra things for children to do around the park and the extension to the path means people are now able to complete a loop of the park on their bikes, trikes and scooters.
“I hope families will pop down to see the improvements we’ve made and continue to enjoy the facilities.”
It comes as the Council also recently finished installing an outdoor gym at Jubilee Park in Loughborough.
The Council asked residents to give their views on the plans to improve Sidings Park during a consultation in 2018.
