Do you know an inspirational teenager who deserves to be Young Person of the Year?
The awards celebrate the achievements of young people aged 13 to 19 across the city and county.
Anyone can nominate a young person for an award, and family, friends, teachers, and other professionals and community leaders are being urged to nominate inspiring young people in their communities.
There are four categories people can nominate their chosen young person for - Young Person of Courage, Young Volunteer, Young Leader, and Young Artist.
Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire, Mike Kapur OBE CStJ, said: “This annual award event is an opportunity for us all to come together to recognise the individual talents of our young people and the celebrate the outstanding contributions they make to their local communities. As Lord-Lieutenant I am privileged to meet so many fantastic young people across the city and county, but without your support and insightful nominations these awards simply cannot take place. "
Nominations close on 13th February 2026.
