Detectives have completed their investigation following the death of a man at a quarry in Mountsorrel.
Police were called to the quarry in Wood Lane just after 5am on Wednesday 21 June following a report of a man being injured. The injured man subsequently died at the scene.
Enquiries were conducted at the quarry with the assistance of the Health and Safety Executive. Those enquiries have now been completed and no criminal offences have been identified.
The Health and Safety Executive is now dealing with the investigation and Leicestershire Police will continue to support them in this investigation. A file is being prepared for HM Coroner and identification will be a matter for HM Coroner.
