
The 804th edition of Loughborough Fair is due to be the biggest yet.
The historic Loughborough Fair will be returning to the town next month and the council has said this year it will be the largest it has ever been.
The iconic event, will take place from Wednesday, 12 November – Saturday, 15 November.
Cllr Jennifer Tillotson, the Council’s lead member for economic development, regeneration and town centres, said: “We are excited to welcome Loughborough Fair back once again from the showman to residents and visitors to the town.
“The fair is always an event that puts a smile on the face of so many whilst bringing back memories of Loughborough Fairs gone by and I’m sure 2025 will be another memorable fair.
“Loughborough Fair proves to be more popular each year so we are delighted that we have been able to expand this year’s fair to make sure there will be more attractions and rides for thousands of visitors to enjoy.”
This year will see Loughborough Fair cover the usual areas of the town centre including Market Place, Granby Street car park, Cattle Market, Wards End and Bedford Square. However, this year, additional attractions are expected as the event will expand into Derby Square and further along Swan Street.
Loughborough Fair will be officially opened at 5pm on Wednesday, 12 November by the Mayor of Charnwood, Cllr David Northage who will read the official fair proclamation.
The opening times for Loughborough Fair 2025:
- Wednesday, 12 November – 5pm until 11pm
- Thursday, 13 November – 12pm until 11pm
- Friday, 14 November – 11am until 11pm
- Saturday, 15 November – 11am until 11pm
Closures due to the fair
Granby Street car park will be closed from the afternoon of Monday, 10 November due to the area being used for rides and attractions. The car parks at Ward's End and Bedford Square will also be closed from the afternoon of Tuesday, 11 November.
The Beehive Lane multi-storey car park and Southfield Road car parks are available during the hours of the fair. Southfield offices car park will also be open to the public outside of the Council’s opening times.
