Adrenaline can be fatal if used on a person with a normal heart rate.

Officers have issued a warning after two vials of adrenaline were stolen in Loughborough – and are asking for anyone who knows where they are to come forward.

The vials were being collected from a property in Beacon Road at around 3pm yesterday (Wednesday 14 July) and were accidentally left on the pavement by the person collecting them, who then drove off.

Upon realising what had happened, the driver returned but found they had gone.

The vials are used by medical professionals to slow a racing heart until further help arrives. If they’re used by a person with a normal heart rate, death can occur without medical intervention.

Anyone who knows where the vials are is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 410 of 14 July.
