M1 closed: Latest

The M1 has reopened. Five miles of queueing traffic southbound approaching junction 22 and delays of one hour, as of 17:21pm.

This incident is now clear, and traffic has now been released on the #M1 southbound in #Leicestershire within J22 (#Markfield).

A 60 minute delay and 5 miles of congestion remains in the area.

Traffic has now been temporarily stopped on the #M1 southbound in #Leicestershire within J22 (#Markfield).

This is to allow the trailer and car to be recovered.
