M1 J23-J24 closed in both directions after multi-vehicle collision

Traffic is building up in the surrounding areas.

The M1 is currently closed in both directions at junctions 23 and 24 due to a collision.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service have confirmed that it has been closed due to a multi-vehicle incident involving multiple cars and lorries over both the north and south carriageway.

Fire and Rescue Service Vehicles from Loughborough, Stapleford, and Birstall are in attendance.
