Amongst the charges given, Simon Thraves is accused of one count of racially-aggravated public order.
The 48 year old, of no fixed address, was arrested on Wednesday night (4th August) on Leopold Street by Charnwood Police.
Leicestershire's Roads Policing Team said the officer in charge had an 'extended shift' while dealing with a number of alleged offences.
A force spokesperson told Fosse 107 Mr Thraves was eventually charged with one count of Burglary, two counts of Attempted Burglary, two counts of Fraud, and one count racially-aggravated public order.
He was due to appear at Leicester Magistrates Court on Friday 6th August.
