On the 26th of June a man was shot in the chest in Bedworth.
A man has been arrested and released on police bail following a shooting in Bedworth.
At around 8.15 pm on 26 June, in the area of Dark Lane and Smercote Close, a victim was shot when he was with two other males.
The victim was found a short time later in Smorall Lane with gunshot wounds to his chest.
He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
On the 30th June, a man from the Nuneaton area was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit murder and on the 1st of July he was released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Detective Inspector Collette O’Keefe said: “The community has been left shocked and appalled by this incident and we are continuing to prioritise this investigation.
“A strong police presence remains in the area of the incident to ensure residents feel safe.
“We are still appealing for anyone who witnessed anything, or who has CCTV or dash cam footage, to please contact us as soon as possible.”
