Tree planting is continuing at the new Nanpantan Woodland!
3,000 tree saplings have been planted so far, despite the wet weather this winter. When all is complete, there will be a total of 7,000 trees.
The trees are planted at a carefully planned density, following best practice.
After approximately 15 years, woodland thinning will take place, making the woodland look more natural and less uniform.
The creation of the new woodland has been made available through a £172,000 grant from The National Forest. The site is 8.6 hectare.
