Man taken to hospital following stabbing in Rothley

A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital after a reported stabbing in Rothley.

Police say they were called to an alleyway off Woodfield Road Saturday afternoon just before 5 o'clock.

The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. He has since been discharged.

A 19-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on bail.

Detective Inspector Jenni Heggs said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would like to ask anyone has any information to contact police.

"Any information you’re able to provide could help with our investigation.”
