Council will still attempt to collect general household waste in black bins, despite severe weather. Market is open.
Due to the weather conditions, Hinckley & Borough Council has announced the following changes to council services in Hinckley and Bosworth for today (Monday 11 December):
Garden waste will not be collected today. This will be reviewed tomorrow.
Crews will be attempting refuse and recycling collections today where it is safe to do so. Customers are advised to leave their bin out if it is not emptied today as crews will try to return to complete any missed collections as road conditions improve this week.
Hinckley market is open today, although it is a smaller market than usual as not all traders have been able to travel.
Street cleaning crews are out gritting the town centre pavements and council car parks this morning and colleagues at Leicestershire County Council are gritting roads.
The council’s website www.hinckley-bosworth.gov.uk and social media accounts are updated regularly through the day with any service changes: https://www.facebook.com/hinckandbosbc/ and @hinckandbos_bc
