Number of vehicles damaged in Barwell and Earl Shilton

Police have received a number of reports of vehicles being damaged in Barwell and Earl Shilton.

There were reports of more than 10 vehicles having their tyres slashed overnight on Monday 9 April through to Tuesday morning (10 April).

Sergeant Ian Tuckwood from Hinckley police said: “We understand that this is worrying for residents living in these areas and we would like to reassurance them that officers will be carrying out extra patrols in the local area in response to this spate of crime.

“I would like to encourage anyone who has been a victim but hasn’t contacted police to do so. I would also like to ask residents and businesses who may have CCTV to check their systems to see if they have captured anything which may be linked to these offences.”
