The bag belongs to a woman in her 60s.
Officers investigating the theft of a handbag are appealing for public help to identify the woman in a CCTV image.
PC Phil Martindale, the investigating officer, said: “I believe the woman pictured may have information about this incident and I’d like to speak to her.
“If you recognise her and know who she is – or that person is you – then please get in touch.”
The incident happened in a shop on Market Street in Loughborough on the 23rd of June.
The bag was later returned to the victim but a quantity of cash was missing.
