Gusts of up to 40mph are forecast in Charnwood until 15:00 tomorrow (11th March).
In a tweet the council said,
"We've closed the #Outwoods this afternoon due to high winds which are forecast until about 3pm tomorrow.

"The woodland will remain closed until the winds have subsided and we've carried out a safety inspection.
"We'll keep you updated."
The children's play area is also closed for the next six weeks while the old ranger's cottage is turned into a new visitor's centre.
Work began on the project on Monday 8th March.
