A man being cared for and who had tested positive for coronavirus has died at Hinckley's community hospital.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust said: “Sadly we can confirm that a man who was being cared for at Hinckley and Bosworth Community Hospital, and had tested positive for COVID-19, has died.
“The patient was in his 70s and had underlying health conditions. Our thoughts and condolences are with the families and friends of the patient at this very difficult and distressing time."
The trust confirmed that the man died on 23rd April.
