Jill Turner, an investigative support assistant within Hinckley CID, is investigating the incident. She said: “The property is located within an estate and CCTV we’ve obtained so far shows a number of vehicles and dog walkers passing around that time. I’d like to speak to any residents who saw or heard anyone acting in a manner that seemed unusual or suspicious or which caught their attention.
“I’d also like to speak to anyone who has seen or been offered any of the items of jewellery pictured for sale.
“Any information you’re able to provide could help.”
