The body of a woman was found in Charnwood on Sunday.
Detectives investigating the murder of a woman in Charnwood are urgently asking anyone who saw a white Citroen C3 on Friday night (6 August) to come forward.
It is believed the car travelled between Coalville and Loughborough between 8pm and 10pm.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who saw the car or captured its movements on a dashcam or CCTV camera.
Earlier this morning (Sunday 8 August) police found the body of a woman in Charley Road, near Woodhouse Eaves. She had previously been reported missing outside the Leicestershire force area.
A 29-year-old man from Coalville was subsequently arrested on suspicion of her murder. He remains in custody, where is being questioned by detectives.
Detective Inspector Kenny Henry, from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) is leading the investigation. He said: “Since the woman’s body was discovered this morning, our investigation has been progressing at a fast rate.
“As a result of enquiries carried out so far, we have identified a white Citroen C3 that is known to have travelled between Coalville and Loughborough on Friday evening. I would therefore ask anyone who saw such a vehicle at either location – or on the roads between the two – to come forward.
“Any information you have, whether it was a sighting or footage of the car in question, could help our investigation.”
