Police were called on Friday night to reports of a stabbing on Brook Street in Shepshed.
Here's the statement from Leicestershire Police:
"Officers attended the scene along with colleagues from the East Midlands Ambulance Service and found a man with stab wound injuries.
The victim, 19, was taken to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre for treatment. His injuries are described as non-life-changing or life-threatening.
An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody.
A cordon is in place in Brook Street to allow for an investigation of the scene.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are in the very early stages."
