Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a serious crash on the A46 at Six Hills.
It happened on Monday at 8.40pm on the A46 northbound at Six Hills and involved one car.
Officers attended, along with colleagues from Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service, as one person was trapped.
The driver, a man, was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre to be treated for serious injuries.
The road was closed for several hours while officers remained at the scene and reopened at around 3am.
Officers are appealing for witnesses.
