Traffic will not be able to enter Loughborough Road, heading towards Brook Street.
As part of work to improve Shepshed Market Place roadworks are starting in the town centre tomorrow.
A section of Loughborough Road will become one-way from Wednesday 19th July for around 19 weeks until November.
This means traffic will not be able to enter Loughborough Road, heading towards Brook Street, from the point of the Church Gate and Butthole Lane junction.
Loughborough Borough Council have said that a diversion will be in place and has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
Work on the marketplace includes a larger pedestrianised area in front of the shops on the corner of Brook Street and Church Street and creating a pedestrianised area to host small-scale events and market stalls.
Pavements are also being improved and widened in Market Place and along Brook Street.
