Two people died on Friday night (23rd Nov) after a crash near Fosse Park.
Police are appealing for witnesses with dashcam footage to come forward after two people died following a crash near Fosse Park.
It happened late on Friday evening (23rd November) on Soar Valley Way at around 11.45pm.
Police say a BMW X5 hit the central reservation. A 30-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other people were taken to hospital where they remain in a serious condition.
Soar Valley Way was closed in both directions overnight. The road has now reopened and police would like to thank the public for their patience.
Detective Constable Paul Bingham, from SCIU, said: “Our investigation is still ongoing and I would ask anyone who was travelling along Soar Valley Way last night and who saw the vehicle prior to the collision or the collision happen to get in touch.
“I’d also ask any motorists in the area at the time who have dashcams in their vehicles to check the footage and come forward if they think they may have anything that could help our investigation.”
