The rear windows of 11 cars were broken between Tuesday evening (20 December) and yesterday morning.
Two boys aged 15 and 14 have been arrested after 11 cars were damaged in Hinckley and Burbage.
Officers are appealing for anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage to come forward.
The two boys remain in custody while enquiries continue.
The vehicles were parked in the following streets – and it is believed the same person or people are responsible:
- Princess Road, Hinckley – where three vehicles were damaged
- Charles Street, Hinckley – where one vehicle was damaged
- Priory Walk, Hinckley – where one vehicle was damaged
- Priesthills Road, Hinckley – where one vehicle was damaged
- The Lawns, Hinckley – where one vehicle was damaged
- Higham Way, Burbage – where three vehicles were damaged
- Brookside, Burbage – where one vehicle was damaged
Officers are also investigating reports of eggs being thrown in Higham Way on Tuesday evening, which may be linked to these incidents.
Sergeant James Cross, from the Hinckley and Blaby Neighbourhood Policing Area (NPA), said: “Our investigation to establish who is responsible for these incidents is continuing and I’m appealing for public help.
“I’m particularly keen to speak to anyone with any footage of damage being caused to come forward. I’d also ask anyone living in any of the streets where incidents occurred who saw or heard anything unusual, suspicious or untoward to get in touch.
“Furthermore, I would also ask anyone whose vehicle has been damaged but who has not yet reported it to police to do so.”
