Their supply of food is getting low. Twycross Zoo need your help to feed some of the animals

Twycross Zoo has appealed to the public for food for their giraffes, apes and rhinos.

These animals eat ‘browse’, which is fresh leaves, twigs, and the branches of specific trees and shrubs.

However, the Zoo says their supply of browse is getting low and are now asking anyone with a good amount of freshly cut browse to donate it.

Twycross Zoo, said: "We would particularly love to hear from tree surgeons, grounds maintenance companies and farm/landowners. If you think you’ve got some browse for our animals, please email browse@twycrosszoo.org."

The species of fauna that the zoo wants include willow, ash, maple, apple, lime beech, elm, plane, poplar, hazel, and hawthorn.

If you think you can help they are asking that you email with this information.
