A 50-year-old woman who was found seriously injured in Hinckley has died.
The woman was taken to hospital shortly after 11.15 pm yesterday (Tuesday 6 December) after being found with serious head injuries.
Following further enquiries by detectives today, her death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
Officers are continuing to carry out further enquiries on behalf of HM Coroner.
Detective Inspector Esther Scott, from the Complex Investigation Team (CIT), said: “As part of our ongoing investigation, I would still like to speak to anyone who was in the area of Castle Street and New Buildings between 9 pm and midnight. Any information or footage you have could help.”
