Writing competition launched to win the first copy of MONOPOLY Loughborough

Earlier this year, the public was invited to suggest Loughborough landmarks and favourites to feature in the game were the University, the Sock Man Statue and the Town Hall.

A competition has launched for a chance to be a Loughborough VIP - Very Important Player.

Winning Moves UK -  an official MONOPOLY maker, is searching for a VIP to receive the very first, brand-new MONOPOLY: Loughborough Edition game to roll off the presses.

Winning Moves UK, said: "Fans can enter the VIP contest by writing an entry responding to “Why I Love Loughborough” in 25 words or less. Entries can also be submitted via visual formats. Poems, ditties, and even one-liners will all be judged equally."

Ella Gibbs, Custom Games Executive at Winning Moves UK, said: “The most inventive and creative entry will win”.

The special edition MONOPOLY game will feature Loughborough landmarks replacing the likes of ‘Mayfair’ and ‘Park Lane’ from the classic MONOPOLY: London Edition game.
