An online stunt by a man allegedly trying to spend 24 hours in front of Andrew Tate's home in Romania ended with police involvement after he was caught walking around with an airsoft gun.

Andrew and his brother Tristan reported the man was walking through the car park with an airsoft gun while livestreaming on a popular cryptocurrency platform.

In a statement, the Tate family said the man can be seen in footage "brandishing the gun, waving it at the camera and pacing outside the property before trying to approach the residence".

They added: "The incident unfolded in real time, creating panic among viewers and posing a direct threat to everyone on site."

The Tate security team took down the intruder in a "swift and controlled operation" and restrained him while they waited for police.

In an on-camera interview with local media, the alleged suspect said: "They caught us with an airsoft gun in the parking area where the Tate brothers live.

"We were just promoting our coin. We were filming a challenge that involved staying 24 hours in front of the house. We didn't do anything wrong. The street is public. We didn't make noise, we didn't do anything."

Andrew Tate called the man an "idiot" who was "clearly not thinking".

He added: "It was impossible for our security team to know if it was an airsoft or a real gun when someone shows up here, starts shouting threats, and waving a weapon.

"It could very easily have been a real gun. He could have hidden in the bushes, waiting for us to come out of the house."

After questioning by police the man had his airsoft weapon confiscated. He was not arrested.

An online figure known for his extreme views about women, Andrew Tate faces a mix of criminal and civil charges across the globe alongside his brother, Tristan Tate.
