Angel Lynn was forced into a van by her ex-boyfriend.
Chay Bowskill, 20, was in a relationship with Angel Lynn, 21, when he kidnapped her on 17th September 2020.
Angel Lynn was forced into a van and at some point in the journey, she exited the vehicle while it travelled along the A6.
Angel suffered a traumatic brain injury as a result of this which has left her unable to live independently.
On 26 January 2022, Bowskill was sentenced at Leicester Crown Court to 7 years and 6 months in prison.
After the sentencing, Bowskill’s sentence was referred to the Court of Appeal under the Unduly Lenient Sentence scheme.
Today he had his sentence increased to 12 years’ imprisonment.
Speaking after the hearing, the Solicitor General Alex Chalk QC MP said: "Angel Lynn was subjected to prolonged abuse by her partner, Chay Bowskill, which culminated in her suffering devastating and life-changing injuries.
"No sentence can repair the damage caused by the cowardly actions of Bowskill, but I welcome the decision of the court to increase the punishment for his crimes."
