Leicestershire Fire and Rescue received a 999 call at 09:52 on the 14th of February 2022.
When the fire crews arrived at the pub on Watling Street, Witherley, they 'requested further resources to assist with the firefighting'.
Fire engines were sent from 'Atherstone, Nuneaton, Hinckley and Western Station' to put out the huge fire which spread from the ground floor to the roof.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue have now confirmed that the 'cause is believed to be deliberate ignition'.
