Officers are investigating the death of two people after their bodies were found inside an address in Leicester Lane.
Police attended the address at about 10am on Thursday 28 October after neighbours became concerned for the occupants’ welfare.
Officers attended and found two people – a 69-year-old man and a 79-year-old woman – inside.
They both had significant injuries.
An investigation is being carried out into the circumstances surrounding of the deaths and the events leading up to the bodies being discovered.
Detective Inspector Nicole Main from the force’s major crime team said: “We are working hard to understand what happened inside the address and how the two people died.
“At this stage we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the investigation and there is no wider risk identified to the public.
“The family are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers at this distressing time.
“I understand that there will be questions but our investigation is ongoing into the circumstance of the deaths.”
