Hinckley RFC has confirmed anyone who purchased a ticket to its Bonfire Fiesta on 31st October will receive a full refund because the fireworks display had to be cancelled.
High winds on Sunday evening meant it was not safe for the fireworks display to go ahead.
The event allowed people to enter for free to take advantage of other attractions on Halloween.
In a statement on its facebook page, Hinckley RFC said:
"Due to the wind conditions, the firework show will not be taking place tonight on safety grounds. All tickets will be refunded over the coming days."
On Monday, Hinckley Rugby Football Club confirmed refunds were being processed and would take 7 to 10 days.
"Anyone who bought physical tickets from the club can return them to either Hinckley Rugby Hinckley Rugby Football Club or Old Clubhouse Cafe old clubhouse cafe for a full refund. Please note we do need the tickets exchanging for your refund."
