Bosworth Water Park to close after 30 years of beach fun

It had long been rumoured that the site was to shut to day visitors.

Popular family attraction Bosworth Water Park will be closing to day visitors from October 4th as it becomes a private holiday lodge complex.

The Campsite will also be closed until the 1st April 2022, but will reopen to caravans and motorhomes. 

Prices on the new lakeside lodges start at £210,000, which gets you a 50-year lease, driveway balcony and garden area. They will be built in three phases, with phase 1 due for completion in Spring 2022.

In total there will be 94 properties.

It is a move which will likely disappoint a number of families, who often used the inland beach in the height of summer.

In a Facebook post on the Bosworth Water Park Page, Nigel and Joanne Ryley said,

"We are excited to announce a change in direction for Bosworth Water Park.

"After 30 years of serving our loyal customers at our family attraction we have chosen to take a new direction and develop the site into a private holiday lodge complex.

"We will close permanently on October 4th to all day visitors, we will then remain closed to all guests until 1st April 2022.

"The first phase of our new and exciting development of luxury lakeside lodges will be ready in spring 2022 and we will re-open our award-winning campsite to visitors with caravans and motorhomes only from the 1st April 2022.
