BT plan to remove payphones from Hinckley and Bosworth

Consultation notices have been placed on the booths so the public can feedback on whether the phones are still needed.

The telecoms giant continually review demand for payphones and have identified nine that they want to close in the borough.

The council is asking people to send their comments conservation@hinckley-bosworth.gov.uk by 21 June 2021. This information will be then be sent to BT.

The payphones are located at:

  • Corner of Harrowbrook Road and Coventry Road, Hinckley 
  • Corner of Strathmore Road and Coventry Road, 
  • Corner of Boyslade Road and Tilton Road, Burbage 
  • Opposite shops and Tin Hat PH, Trent Road, Hinckley 
  • Corner of Henry Street and Wykin Road, Hinckley 
  • Opposite shops, Tudor Road, Hinckley 
  • Kiosk (near no.6) Manor Road, Desford
  • Burton Road, Twycross
  • Corner of Church Road and Bagworth Road, Barlestone
