It was meant to take place this Sunday (14th May).
Sunday's Burbage Common Open Day has been cancelled by the borough council due to the weather.
Recent rainfall has meant that the ground is too water-logged for the event to take place.
Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council said: "There is also more rain and further thunderstorms forecast over the next few days, so it is highly unlikely that the site will get any drier. As it stands, the wet weather would mean the event could lead to further grounds damage, as well as traffic disruption on Leicester Road due to restricted traffic flow. The common is a haven for wildlife and we don’t want to risk damaging this important habitat.
"We apologise for the late cancellation, particularly to stall holders and everyone who was looking forward to attending the event. We still hope to be able to rearrange it for later in the year, so please look out for any further updates."
The council hope to rearrange the event however a date has not yet been confirmed.
